Saturday, 28/11/2020. To improve students’ mastery of economic research methodologies. The Diponegoro University Master of Economics Study Program held a Scientific Workshop with the theme “Spatial Econometrics for Economic Research”. No less than 90 participants attended this workshop. Participants come from student circles both undergraduate, master and doctoral programs. As well as academics such as lecturers also participated in it.

The resource person for this workshop was Sandy Juli Maulana, who is an alumni of the Faculty of Economics and Business UNDIP, and is currently taking the Public Policy Master Program at Hitotsubashi University, Japan.

The event was held in 2 sessions. Session 1 introduces the concept of spatial econometrics and explains examples of empirical research. Session 2 practicing spatial econometrics using STATA software.
